Italian mid-century modern design P40 armchair (first edition), designed by Osvaldo Borsani and manufactured by Tecno since the 1950s.
Striking in its aesthetic and inviting in its form, its sleek, elegant lines conceal a unique mechanism that allows for a wide range of adjustable reclining angles, all the way to a fully closed position.

The P40 is the original adjustable lounge chair, featuring a metal base that supports the seat and backrest; these are pivoted to allow for any intermediate angle between the fully open position and a completely folded, compact state.
A flip-out section beneath the seat supports the legs and includes a retractable metal footrest, while the headrest is extendable and the steel-and-rubber armrests can be folded down for easier access.
The movement mechanisms are fully functional.
It bears the original Tecno logo featuring the red “T”.
